my Attempts to recreate pieces from grave 41/2016
Hi! Recently my A&S focus has been to participate in the first Atlantian Persona Challenge that was put forth in the SCA Kingdom of Atlantia, during the 2021-2022 reign of Cuan and Adelhait. This was superbly coordinated by Ollamh Esa inghean Donnchaidh, OL and helped me to focus and expand my SCA persona.
Oh, what is that persona? Well I've not fleshed that out into a whole backstory or something. I'm now known in the SCA as Rikissa Ravattulalainen, which I have mentioned on other pages here. I am not trying to be any one person in particular but myself, And if you know Finnish or look into the meaning of Ravattulalainen it essentially translates to "from the village of Ravattula." Does it make sense yet that I am producing items from Ravattulan archeology?; specifically, Ristimaki grave 41/2016.
There is obvious overlap between the two projects- the persona challenge and my Ravattulan project... and certainly there are more pieces that I will be doing and updating here as they are done. But to simplify and keep everything together and organized (at least to my brain), I'm going to add links below so you can follow along!
I hope you enjoy the journey as much as I do.

The beginning; Persona Challenge
Rather than write again about the projects I completed in the persona challenge I have instead included links below to those individual articles.
